SIMPLY LASAGNA

Im going to cook this,for a week having yearning for home cook LASAGNA...salivating..drooling...dreaming...of Lasagna..lets see the 'short cut' or faster way to do it, by kraftCooking school.
Prep Time : 20 min
Cooking time : 1 hr 30 min
Makes : 12 servings, 1 piece (183 g)

Ingredients

1 pound lean ground beef
2 1/2 cups KRAFT Part Skim Mozzarella Shredded Cheese, divided
2 cups light ricotta cheese
1/2 cup KRAFT 100% Grated Parmesan Cheese, divided
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 (700 ml) jar pasta sauce
1 1/2 cups water
12 lasagna noodles, uncooked

Directions

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Brown meat in large skillet on medium-high heat. Meanwhile, mix 1-1/4 cups of the mozzarella cheese, the ricotta cheese, 1/4 cup of the Parmesan cheese, the parsley and egg until well blended; set aside.
Drain meat; return to skillet. Stir in pasta sauce. Pour water into empty sauce jar; cover and shake well. Add to skillet; stir until well blended.
Spread 1 cup of the meat sauce onto bottom of 13x9-inch baking dish; top with layers of 3 lasagna noodles, one-third of the ricotta cheese mixture and 1 cup of the meat sauce. Repeat layers two more times. Top with remaining 3 noodles and remaining meat sauce. Sprinkle with remaining 1-1/4 cups mozzarella cheese and remaining 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. Cover tightly with greased foil.
Bake 1 hour. Remove foil; continue baking 15 minutes or until heated through. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting to serve.

Footnotes

Serving Suggestion: Serve with a leafy green salad tossed with KRAFT Calorie-Wise Italian Dressing.
Shortcut: Adding water to the sauce helps cook traditional noodles during baking, so you don't have to cook them beforehand. This saves you 15 to 20 minutes of prep time.
Easy Cleanup: Placing a layer of sauce under the first layer of noodles will help prevent the noodles from sticking to the bottom of the baking dish.

Let's start out with the ingredients for the sauce.
- 2 large cans of Italian tomatoes
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 links of sweet Italian sausage or pepperoni
( I usually use the Italian sausage and pepperoni and subtract the ground beef. It depends on one's preference.)
- 1 large onion (finely chopped)
- 2 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)
- 1 T oregano
- 2 small cans of tomato paste
- 1/2 T basil
Remaining ingredients for lasagna:

-1 LB Mozzarella cheese
- 1 LB ricotta cheese
- 1/4 Cup Romano cheese
- 1 box of lasagna noodles
 Steps to prepare the sauce:

1.) Place the 2 large cans of Italian tomatoes and the tomato paste in a large sauce pan. (heat slowly, adding salt and pepper to taste)
2.) Saute the large onion and the 2 cloves of garlic. When lightly browned, add the mixture to the tomato mixture.
3.) Brown the beef and sausage in the same pan. Once browned, add to tomato mixture.
4.) Add oregano, basil to sauce.
5.) Let sauce simmer.

Assembling the lasagna:
1.) Spread sauce on the bottom of the pan.
2.) Line with noodles, mozzarella, ricotta, romano.
3.) Repeat and end with sauce.

BAKE @ 350 for 45 minutes.

MALAY VERSION-variasi

LASAGNE (Sumber Resipi & Foto : Buku Masakan Warna)

1 biji bawang besar (potong dadu)
2 ulas bawang putih
1 tin (400 gm) buah tomato
½ sudu teh daun basil kering (dried basil)
¼ cawan pes tomato
1 sudu makan minyak
500 gm daging kisar
1½ cawan keju mozarella (diparut)
1½ cawan keju Tasty (diparut)
1 paket (250 gm) kepingan lasagne segera (direbus dahulu)
sayur-mayur utk ulaman
hirisan daun sup/bawang utk hiasan
1 bekas kaca tahan panas utk muatan 6 cawan.

Cara:
Kisar halus bawang besar, bawang putih, tomato, basil dan pes tomato. Panaskan minyak dalam kuali sederhana dan masukkan daging cincang. Balik-balikan hingga hilang warna merahnya. Masukkan bahan-bahan kisar dan masak hingga mendidih lalu kecilkan api dan masak lagi selama 10 minit atau sehingga ia pekat.

Ambil satu pertiga dari daging itu dan tuang dlm bekas kaca. Ratakan. Tabur di atasnya satu pertiga dari kombinasi keju. Lapiskan di atasnya dgn setengah bahagian kepingan lasagne segera. Ulang dan lapis di atasnya satu pertiga daging, satu pertiga kombinasi keju dan lebihan kepingan lasagne.

Tutup acuan dgn tutup periuk dan bakar dlm ketuhar 180 darjah Celsius selama 20 minit. Kemudian keluarkan tutup acuan dan bakar lagi selama 15 minit hingga ia kuning dan garing.

Lasagne enak dihidangkan bersama ulaman salada dan hirisan daun sup/bawang utk hiasan.

Panduan:
Lasagne adalah sejenis pasta. Ia hendaklah direbus dahulu sebentar hingga lembut sedikit dgn air. Garam secukup rasa dan 1 atau 2 sudu makan minyak. Keluarkan dan siram dgn air sejuk. Setelah itu diketepikan. Lasagne tidakboleh direbus terlalu lama.

Lasagna

250g kepingan lasagna (masak sprti peraturan yg terdpt pd kotak)
-selalu tak sampai 250 gms, ikut muat bekas.
175g grated mozzarella cheese


Sos Putih :
250 ml UHT milk
bawang
2-3 cm carrot (potong nipis)
1 helai bay leaf
1 fresh parsley
8-10 biji lada hitam
40 gm butter
40 gm tepung


Sos Daging :
1 biji bawang besar (dicincang)
2 ulas bawang putih (dicincang)
1 batang celery (dicincang)
75 gm carrot (dicincang)
400 gm daging kisar (boleh diganti dgn isi ayam/daging burger)
4 biji tomato (dibuang kulit, potong dadu) – boleh gunakan tomato yg dlm tin
1 helai bay leaf
secubit oregano
sedikit basil
minyak masak
225 ml air
1 sudu besar tomato puree
1½ sudu teh gula
garam
lada putih & lada hitam


Cara:

Sos Putih
Campur dan masak semua bahan white sauce dlm sauce pan. Kecilkan api dan renehkan utk beberapa minit. Alih sauce pan tadi, tutup, dan biarkan sebentar sekitar 10-15 minit supaya susu sebati. Kemudian tapis dan buang bahan yg tak perlu dan yg berketul2. Cairkan butter dlm api kecil, masukkan tepung dan kacau terus sehingga masak dlm seminit. Masukkan UHT milk, kacau berterusan dalam 5 minit sehingga menjadi sauce yg lawa. Ketepikan.

Sos Daging:
Panaskan minyak dlm saucepan dan goreng bawang, bawang putih, celery dan carrot sehingga bahan-bahan lembut. Masukkan daging kisar tadi dan masak sehingga keperang-perangan. Masukkan tomato dan herba2 tadi lalu dimasak lagi dalamasa 15-20 minit. Kemudian masukkan air, tomato puree, garam, gula dan lada putih/hitam. Renehkan (simmer) sehingga bahan menjadi pekat.

Lasagna
Sapu dan ratakan sos daging di dalam sebuah bekas. Pastikan bekas itu ‘oven-friendly dan cukup besar utk memasukkan semua bahan. Kemudian bubuh 2-3 sudu makan sos putih dan taburkan keju rata-rata utk menutupi lapisan. Susun kepingan lasagna di atas lapisan keju tadi. Ulang susunan sehingga selesai semua kepingan lasagna. Akhir sekali, bubuh sekali lagi sos daging, sos putih dan keju. Jika anda gemar makan keju, bolehlah lebihkan sukatan keju ini.

Bakar lasagna di dlm ketuhar pada suhu 190 degrees selam 45-50 minit atau sehingga paisan akhirnya kelihatan kuning keemasan. Hidang lasagna panas-panas.

Nota: Ada juga yg meletakkan sos perang tapi ini terserah pada citarasa anda.
